Participating in Conferences, Webinars, and Courses
Advanced best practices for climate action through staff participation in conferences, courses and webinars, including those organized by Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM), Green Municipal Fund (GMF), Local Governments for Sustainability (ICLEI), Six Nations of the Grand River, and Evergreen.

Continuous Learning & Research
Staff conducted research and participated in continuous learning opportunities to ensure the Region remains up to date on the rapidly evolving field of climate actions including trends, knowledge, technology, regulations and policies and financial considerations.
A climate training program for Regional staff is currently under development with an anticipated roll out in 2025.
