A range of targeted communications and outreach efforts have been implemented to promote Lyme disease and other tick-borne disease awareness: subscription e-newsletter for physicians was distributed in May 2024; an E-fax was sent to all Halton physicians on tick-borne diseases in May 2024; a follow-up E-fax was sent to Halton pharmacists on Lyme disease in July 2024; and a continuing medical education (CME) event was held in June 2024.
5 white papers, 29 briefing notes, 3 rationale documents and 3 business cases were developed by staff to advance knowledge mobilization on climate related issues of relevance to the corporation.
The Compendium, an internal searchable database was developed and is currently being updated for Climate Action Response Team (CART) members. It provides curated, Regionally-topical information for staff to keep abreast of current trends, information, best management practices, regulations and policies and technology related to climate.

Topics for targeted communications and outreach efforts include the built environment; exposure to hazardous environmental contaminants and biological agents; exposure to radiation, including UV light and radon; extreme weather; indoor air pollutants; outdoor air pollutants; and other emerging environmental exposures.
